That car dealer one... doesn't work. I was being asked for a down payment when previously told I didn't need one. I stared at the dealer and very seriously said I only have $7. If that is enough you can have them. He kinda laughed but stopped when he saw I was serious. I wasn't lying either. I stayed quiet for a few minutes just staring at him. He asked again. I answered I'm not joking all I have is $7. He kept begging but I walked out.

Every year in my old elementary school the 5th graders got to go to skyzone and one kid bumped into me making me drop my breakfast and i had anger issues so one sped teacher i was forced to go to locked me in a tiny room for the entire day

When I was younger in grade school, my teacher told me that if I didn't stop asking my parents for help with homework and figure it out myself, I would "wind up on a pole to get by." Changed my ability to ask for help still into my late 20s. There's a lot to unpack there, i know. Hate to let you down, but he faced no repercussions either. Just chalked up to him, having a hard time at home... (Although later, this teacher did go to jail for possession of a schedule II drug, possession of drug parafanalia, domestic battery, and battery of a person(s) younger than 16. i was let go from a part-time because my boss couldn’t afford to stay open the day i worked. i know exactly why he fired me instead of my other coworkers that didn’t show up, didn’t talk or smoked weed in his storeroom; i was his only worker over the age of 16, ergo the only one he had to pay minimum wage. unfortunately for him i was also the only one that knew how to cook, he gave us no training and i was in the process of teaching my coworker how to make a sandwich when i was made redundant. as far as i know his oldest worker was 21, who was a manager during the summer and a uni student in termtime. it was me at 16 after that, everyone else was 15. he would leave for hours and i would have to run the cafe in a rush with zero experience. definitely pushed me away from working at a cafe ever again.

In a similar yet different way, when i think of events 9/11 overshadowed, i can’t help but think about 9/11/1973. It’s kind of a shame that you only think of 2001 at this date because 1973 was also a very tragical and traumatizing event that shaped south american politics for a long time. not technically a teacher but an adult at a school with charge over me. i was having the first full on cant breathe asthma attack ive ever had (luckily havent had one since) and the teacher just. focus on the kids (who had been bullying me and were the reason i was stressed enough to trigger my asthma like that) and getting them inside. my twin sibling had to beg the teacher to let them go inside and get my rescue inhaler. hella traumatic, i still have a lot of fear when my asthma starts acting up and thus havent properly taken care of myself for the longest time, exercise wise

My so-called best friend told my other so-called best friend “I only hang out with [my name] because I don’t have any other friends here at college”. I stopped talking to them both after that because they were so comfortable talking about me, apparently. It still guts me when I think about it, a whole year later.

My parents told me that crying was very bad, and this influenced me and my siblings to never cry, but the side effect that brought us was the fact that, for some reason, we cry randomly over things that shouldn't make us sad and after my sister began going to therapy and explained to us that what are parents(for them dad and stepmother) was emotional abuse and soon my other sister went to therapy, sadly my brother isn't able to afford it but was able to get better with the support of the family he built and I just started going to therapy
